What is a subdomain?

A subdomain is called a child domain, a
domain that is part of a larger domain name in DNShierarchy.
For example,
domains.upperlink.ng is a subdomain. Some subdomain names are reserved such as mail,
www, ftp, cpanel, webmail just to mention a few. You can use any other name except these.
