How to Report Abuse
To report abuse involving a domain registered with us, please email abuse@upperlink.ng. You may also use our abuse report form.
What to Include in Your Report
Please include the following information to help us review your report efficiently:
- The domain name in question.
- A description of the abuse and why it is concerning.
- Supporting evidence (e.g., email headers, screenshots, URLs, logs).
- Your contact information for follow-up (optional but recommended).
- Any legal or enforcement reference numbers, if applicable.
We Handle Reports
- Abuse reports are reviewed by our team within 24 hours.
- We assess whether the reported activity violates ICANN policies, applicable laws, or our own terms of service.
- If warranted, we may contact the registrant, suspend the domain, or escalate the case to relevant authorities or the hosting provider.
- In cases involving imminent threats (e.g., phishing or malware), action may be taken immediately.
Times
- Acknowledgment: Within 24 hours of receiving your report.
- Initial review and triage: Typically within 24–48 hours.
- Resolution: Varies based on severity and required actions. Urgent threats may be mitigated the same day.
